Alaska Airlines Ranked Top Airline by J.D. Power

Alaska Airlines was ranked first among traditional carriers in customer satisfaction in a J.D. Power survey for the ninth straight year, while JetBlue Airways was ranked first among low-cost carriers. Ranked last in each segment were United Airlines and Frontier Airlines. The rankings are as follows:

Pilots Sue American Airlines over Seniority List

Eleven former US Airways pilots have filed a lawsuit, stating that 63 former US Airways pilots have not been properly integrated into the seniority list after the merger with American Airlines in 2013.

The 2005 merger between US Airways and America West has complicated the process, as the pilot groups from the two former airlines never agreed on a list due a controversial 2007 ruling by an arbitrator.

A court date has been set for June 17 by a district judge in New York.

Frontier Pilots Fight for Breastfeeding Rights

Four female pilots have filed discrimination charges against Frontier Airlines for failing to provide proper breastfeeding facilities and accommodations for working mothers. Three of the pilots said they suffered breast infections due to the working conditions provided by the airline.

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed discrimination claims with the Equal Opportunity Commission on behalf of the pilots.

"Rather than support me, company management questioned my parenting choices as well as my commitment to my career. They even questioned why I didn’t switch to formula,” pilot Shannon Kiedrowski said in a blog post.
