Rare footage of an Antonov 225 Mriya takeoff at Minneapolis. It is powered by six turbofan engines and is the longest and heaviest airplane ever built with a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tonnes. It also has the largest wingspan of any aircraft in operational service.
Suspension of disbelief is the principle in filmmaking that allows a viewer to suspend critical thinking, at least in part, and overlook minor inconsistencies or technical details so as to enjoy a work of fiction.
The aircraft in the video are either Air Spray machines out of Red Deer, Alberta (A26 Invader, Electra), Conair Aviation out of Abbotsford, BC (Tracker, CV 580, my birdog planes the AC690T and Aerostar), or the good old Martin Mars based out of Sprout Lake on Vancouver Island.
