Pilot Hiring Process, please describe:
Applicants will be contacted by a Contour recruiter once resume is received via the Contour Careers application portal for
a preliminary phone interview. Once the preliminary call is complete, an in‐person or web interview will be completed by
Flight Operations leadership.

The compensation shown above is Base Annual Compensation (yearly min guarantee). To determine Base Monthly
Compensation, divide Base Annual Compensation (Year of Service and Seat) by 24 to determine minimum gross
compensation per pay period. Example: $118000/24 = $4916 per pay period.
Pilots are paid by the day rather than the hour. A pilot’s day rate is calculated by dividing current year base pay by 18 (days
base salary covers) and then 12 (months in the year). Example: $118000/18/12= $546 per day.
Duty days above 18 days a month, open time or junior manned status paid at 150% during that period. Example: $546 x
1.5 = $819 per day.
Per Diem and other forms of Add Pay are not included in Annual Base Compensation and are paid in the following month’s
middle pay cycle.
Scheduled 2.5% pay raise: Annual increases on employment anniversary.
Annual overrides for Line Check Pilots, Ground Instructors, Sim Instructors, Leadership Positions are calculated Annual
Base Compensation (i.e., $118,000 +25K(LCP) = $143,000)
Parking paid in crew bases and homebased pilots.
1 Year prorated training agreement for new hire PICs. Does not enforce loss of medical.
