NEW: Allegiant and the Union are still in contract negotiations and have agreed to a pilot retention bonus. The final payment amount and timing are subject to CBA ratification, but it is the company’s commitment to pay the accrued amount 60 days following the contract signing. Effective May 1st, the Company began ‘banking’ or ‘accruing’ a retention bonus for our current pilots that will pay the difference between actual pay and the pay increase we have proposed in negotiations (35% for all pilots except first-year FOs; and 82% for first-year FOs).
Bonus rate calculation example for first year First Officers
• Current rate: $57.67
• Current rate + 82.1% increase= $105.01
• Retention Bonus Rate: $47.34 (Difference between the current rate and 82.1% increase)
• $47.34 X 85 hours = $4,024 (Monthly Retention Bonus Accrual)
